My name is Orly Arbit and I'm in 12th grade at SAR High School. The 13 Can Challenge is my senior project. The concept is pretty simple: I want a ton of people to donate as many cans as possible to their local food bank or pantry. Donating food is a very easy and direct way to help people in need, and it is something I'm very passionate about.

Why 13 cans you ask? Because I hope to use Taylor Swift's name/fan base to create a movement of people who will donate 13 cans, and Taylor's lucky number is 13. (Also I'm in the graduating class of 2013 :D)

Not only do I see Taylor Swift as a role model, but I think that her fans are very dedicated, and they have the potential to organize themselves to do something great. 

Hopefully with the help of my friends, family, and Swifties, we can create something incredible and help those less fortunate than us. And, if we get Taylor's attention, not only would it be awesome, but she has the power to make her thousands, if not millions, of fans to donate cans to their local food bank.
